Luis Lizardi

His coffee career began back in Sydney, Australia as a barista for a busy coffee shop in North Sydney Train Station and later got to manage it. He went back to the sports industry for a long time. Luis then moved to California and returned to the coffee industry as Assistant Manager for Swell Coffee Roasters, then Operations Supervisor and finally was able to learn coffee roasting at GCT under the mentoring of Jorge de Leon and Ray Orate. He loves that coffee is super social and roasting is amazing. Developing all the notes and profiles... and ocasionally scorching coffee. Spare time... let’s paddle out and enjoy San Diego’s surf!
